Memorial Day

This year we celebrated Memorial Day by going to the Denver zoo.   We have lived here for almost 6 years and we had never been, and thought it would be a great activity to do with Bristol.

I also bought Bristol this great hat for our trip and couldn't stop taking her picture in it because I thought she was so dang cute.

We saw lots of great animals-

birds...

foxes...

tigers...

elephants...

and Bristol made a new best friend

We also all got to measure ourselves compared to a polar bear

Brian and Bristol explored the huts in the elephant exhibits.

And of course more great pictures of cute baby in the hat

And for anyone who read my memorial day post from a couple years ago- we also successfully came home and barbequed some hamburgers and hotdogs.  A great ending to a great day!

Thanksgiving 2012

We got to spend Thanksgiving in California again this year.  We felt very welcomed right away as there was a sign waiting for us at the airport that said "Sacramento welcomes Brian Angie and Bristol"
It was a fun time to see family, eat good food, and give my family a chance to meet Bristol for the first time.  Brian even had a play date arranged for him with one of my mom's coworkers.  Brian really enjoys playing Risk but rarely has anyone to play with so was happy to make a new friend who he can play with on trips to California.

Bristol also spent a lot of time hanging out with Daddy on the couch.

We also took advantage of the live in babysitter service and were able to see a few movies.   It was a fun vacation but as always too short.

I usually hate unpacking after a trip because it means the vacation is over, however this time I found a special surprise in my suitcase while unpacking

Minature Golf

Brian and I have always enjoyed miniature golfing, but this time was especially fun because it was the first time we took Bristol.  She was peacefully sleeping in her stroller but we couldn't resist taking her out and making her pose with the decorations there.  She was so tired she even slept through some of the pictures.

                                                         We also spotted a rabbit

We were having a great time and would have loved to stay longer but since we were the only people at the corse, the one employee who worked there kept coming out pretending to rake leaves to see if we were close to finishing so he could go home. So we left.

Halloween

We celebrated Halloween this year by voting early.  Brian thought the lines would be too long if we went on voting day.  In case anyone is wondering we both voted for Mitt Romney, and against the legalization of marijuana.

Bristol got to be dressed up as a pumpkin while Brian and I carved pumpkins.

She hated being put in the costume at first but warmed up to it.

Can you guess who carved which pumpkin?

I am looking forward to next year to take Bristol trick or treating.  We thought about taking her this year but thought we might get some funny looks since she doesn't even have teeth yet.
